Goran Trbuljak was born in Varazdin, Croatia, in 1948. He has graduated from the School of Applied Arts, Photography Department, and in 1972 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. During 1973–1974 period he studied painting at the École des Beaux–Arts in Paris, and in 1979 he was in New York. In 1980 he graduated photography at the Academy of Performing Arts in Zagreb, where he today is a professor. Trbuljak’s visual arts career commenced in the late 60-s, when he established himself as conceptual artist. In that period Trbuljak was collaborating with Braco Dimitrije- vic. During 1969 Trbuljak performed a series of street art action. His series Works in Progress linked corresponding projects executed in various media, photography, video works, and in 1990's animated ilm.
