Jan Steklik is a Czech painter born in 1938 in Ústí nad Orlicí. He was a part of the Crusaders’ School of Pure Humour Without Wit with Karel Nepraš and Olaf Hanel. His early work is based in land art, mail art and sculptural projects.
He is most known for his experimental work with paper. Steklík´s work features elements of intellectual humour, occasionally irony, poetry and play.
