The exhibition "Marginal Specificities: Avant-Garde Art of ex-Yugoslavia 1914 - 1989" has been organised in collaboration with the Gallery Centre Varaždin, and even though it is smaller than the exhibition in Varaždin, it showcases masterpieces of some of the most representative arstist of the 20th c., and gives a complete insight into the history of Avant-Garde phenomena and events of the ex-Yugoslav region.

A special segment of the "Marginal Specificities" exhibition is the solo exhibiton "Vlado Martek... The Artist as a Movable Map". Martek is one of the most interesting artists of the ex-Yugoslav region since the 1970s, and his works are shown at the "Zlatno oko" Gallery.

The "Marginal Specificities" exhibition encompases 200 exhibits by 80 artists, 15 art groups and most of the key Avant-Garde magazines and publications, such as "Zenit" from Zagreb, "Ut" from Novi Sad, "Tank" and "Nemoguće" from Ljubljana etc.

The artists, art groups, movements, magazines and publications from 1914 until 1946 shown are:_ Vilko Gecan, Zenit, Branko ve Poljanski, Tank, A. B. Šimić, Ljubomir Micić, Ut, Beogradski nadrealizam, Traveleri, Mihajlo S. Petrov, Avgust Černigoj, Ljubomir Jocić, Marko Ristić, Boško Tokin, Vane Bor, Oskar Davičo, Salmon Monny De Boully, Željko Hegedusić, Ivana Tomljenović Meller, Antun Motika, Franjo M. Fuis, and Andrija Maurović.

From the time span of 1946 to 1968 there are Aleksandar Srnec, Božidar Rasica, Vjenceslav Richter, Savo Simončić, Koloman Novak, Julije Knifer, Ivan Kožaric, Josip Vaništa, Đuro Seder, Ivo Gattin, Eugen Feller, Božidar Jelenić, Jozsef Acs, Pal Petrik, Branko Vlahović, Vojin Bakic, and Želimir Žilnik.

From the period of 1968 to 1989 there are artists and groups such as Marko Pogačnik, Drago Della Bernardina, Franci Zagoričnik, Ivan Volarić Feo, Nuša & Srećo Dragan, Šempas Family, Crveni Peristil, Marina Abramović, Era Milivojević, Goran Trbuljak, Radomir Damnjanović Damnjan, Gergelj Urkom, Dragoljub Raša Todosijevic.
