Matjaz Hanzek was born on August, 13, 1949 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. He earned his degree in sociology at FSPN in Ljubljana. He was a member of the groups OHO and Katalog.

Hanzek writes concrete poetry and poetry in the form of a language game. Under OHO he published 12 cards, 117 copies (box with 117 texts or drawings).
