Franci Zagoricnik (Duga Resa, 1933 - Golnik, 1997). A worker in a textile factory in Kranj until 1965, Zagoricnik became a free-lance writer. His first volume of poetry, Agamemnon, appeared in 1965. As a poet and essayist, he is one of the major exponents of the Slovene literary avant-garde of the sixties, and is considered one of the pioneers of concrete and visual poetry. He collaborated on the Eva Almanah, Pericarežeracirep, Catalogue, Catalogue 2. Opus nič (Opus Zero), his "topographic book", appeared in a publication of the OHO Edition. Zagoricnik published a number of volumes of poetry. Later on he took an active part in the concretist movement Westeast.
