Ješa Denegri was born in 1936 in Split, Croatia. He is one of the most influential art historians and critics of this region. He coined the term “Other line”, to mark the artistic wing of Yugoslav art different from the then reigning Modernism. He has curated numerous exhibitions, wrote articles, paper, art reviews and monographs. His most recent monograph is on the Gorgona group, which will be published in 2016. He is a professor of History of Modern Art and Theory at the University of Belgrade. He lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.
