During the terrible times, which many human beings have endured for a long time, and of which the current crisis has made us aware, we need to relearn four forgotten feelings: gratitude, for those on the front line; empathy, for those who suffer; admiration, for those who find solutions; and altruism, to act in support of one another.
Autopsia is a depersonalised artistic project dealing with music, film/video and art production. It gathers authors of various professions in the realisation of multimedia projects. Its art practise began in London in the late 1970s, and continued in the 1980s in art centres of former Yugoslavia. Since 1990, Autopsia has operated from Prague.
The most recent project of the Institute for the Research of the Avant-Garde and the Marinko Sudac Collection with Autopsia was their solo exhibition “Autopsia Archive 1979-1989”, part of the “Other Aspects” projects organised in collaboration with the City Gallery Striegl.
Autopsia was a participant of our Artist on Vacation project in 2015.
