The exhibition and presentation of artists who were a part of the "Artist on Vacation 2016 in Valamar" is held traditionally, now for a fifth consecutive time, in the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb.
The exhibition also serves as an introduction to this year's, sixth, edition which will take place in Poreč during summer months and host great names of the global Neo-Avant-Garde scene.
The participanting artists on the "Artist on Vacation 2016" in Valamar were: István Nádler (Hungary), Katalin Ladik (Hungary), Raša Todosijević (Serbia), Lev Nussberg (Russia), Philip Corner (USA), Rudolf Sikora (Slovakia), Slobodan Šijan (Serbia), Jarosław Kozłowski (Poland) i Vladimir Gudac (Croatia).
The artists are represented to the Zagreb audience with the works they created during their stay at the projects, and some of the artists are also repereseted by their works from the 60s and 70s of the 20th c.
As part of the "Artist on Vacation 2016 in Valamar" in the Zuccato Gallery, there was the exhibition „Jiří Valoch - the Power of the Powerless". It is an exhibition of an artist, art theorist, professor, and curator, a notable individual of the Czech art scene. The exhibition of Jiří Valoch was the first, small-scale retrospective exhibition and is an introduction to a large retrospective exhibition. The selection of works presented will give an insight to the numerous artistic, curatorial and theoretical practices of Jiří Valoch.
