Artist on Vacation 2016

Since 2012, the Artist on Vacation project has gathered, hosted and presented to the public a number of internationally prestigious artists who belong to the period of historical Avant-gardes, as well as artists who continue the practice of radical art and further develop its aesthetics. In the summer months, Poreč becomes a vacation spot for international artists. In collaboration with Valamar Riviera d.d., the Institute for the Research of Avant-Garde and Marinko Sudac Collection artists are invited to spend a week at an exclusive hotel and vacation on the beautiful Istrian peninsula.

 
"The Other Line" Documentary

The documentary film "Other Line" is a result of a long-term research of the Neo-Avant-Garde cultural and art scene of the late 60s and 70s of the 20th c. in Novi Sad, which was, until today, marginalized.

The notion of the BAUHAUS School of Design, founded by Walter Gropius in 1919 in Weimar and superbly functioning until the 1933 when Nazis gained the power in Germany, has been imbedded in the fundaments of modern and contemporary art of the XX century. The school was in 1996 moved to Dessau, and in 1932 its seat was in Berlin just to be closed by the Nazis on August, 10 1933.

Cabaret Voltaire, the birthplace of Dada, opened its doors on February 5, 1916. Hugo Ball, like many other artists and intellectuals, in the turmoil of the First World War found a safe place in the neutral Switzerland, in Zurich.
